Ratpool dev update...<div><br></div><div>A lot has changed from Sunday till today.</div><div><br></div><div>First, everything now lives under one roof. The main website is at ratpool.xyz, the game is at ratpool.xyz/play, and there's also ratpool.xyz/demo if you just want to jump in without signing up.</div><div><br></div><div>The overall interface also got a major rework this week. Menus, buttons, the store, HUD and mobile screens have been cleaned up, match controls are easier to use on smaller screens, there's now a live scoreboard during matches, and you can customize what appears on your HUD, where it appears and even control the different audio channels.</div><div><br></div><div>Gameplay got some important fixes too. Gravity has been reduced, health pickups now fully restore your health, hit feedback is clearer, aiming feels more responsive, and bullets now actually leave from the tip of your weapon where you're aiming, including while jumping or falling.</div><div><br></div><div>I also changed how important the zone is. Holding it now gives you 5 points per second instead of 1, so controlling the zone can actually change the outcome of a match.</div><div><br></div><div>Sign-up is much simpler now too... you can continue with Google and get your RatPool wallet automatically.</div><div><br></div><div>And one of the biggest updates this week is the wallet itself.</div><div><br></div><div>You can send test USDC to another RatPool player, send to an external Solana wallet, or receive test USDC from any Solana wallet. RatPool also handles the transaction fees, so players don't need to hold SOL just to use the game.</div><div><br></div><div>The faucet and store are also working again, and store items can be purchased using test USDC.</div><div><br></div><div>Still Devnet. Still test USDC with no real value. Still plenty to build.</div><div><br></div><div>But RatPool is starting to come together piece by piece. </div>
