What do you think?

A software developer might be better off partnering with a content creator than trying to become a content creator themselves.

Imagine a girl who can post a provocative video on TikTok and attract millions of views. Meanwhile, a developer could spend weeks building an application and struggle to get 1,000 people to use it.

Both have valuable skills, but those skills solve different problems.

The developer knows how to build products. The content creator knows how to attract attention and reach an audience.

Why not let each person focus on what they do best?

This doesn’t mean developers shouldn’t build their personal brands or maintain social media pages. They should. It means understanding the difference between building a product and distributing it.

A developer can maintain a professional presence, share their work, and demonstrate their expertise without trying to become a full-time influencer.

For a business, partnering with someone who already understands content creation and audience engagement could be more efficient than trying to master everything in-house.

Of course, views alone don’t guarantee customers. The creator must reach the right audience, and the partnership must produce measurable results.

The goal isn’t simply to get millions of views. It’s to get the right product in front of the right people.

You don’t have to do everything yourself. Sometimes, the smartest business decision is to partner with someone who is already good at what you need.

Build what you know how to build. Partner for what others know how to do.
