How to stay focused while reading

Let’s be honest, sometimes you read a page and realize you didn’t understand anything 😪

1. Start small. Don’t force long reading. Even 10–15 minutes is fine
2. Put your phone away or on silent
3. Read in a quiet place (or use soft background music if it helps)
4. Take short breaks so your mind doesn’t get tired
5. Use your finger or a pen to follow the line as you read
6. Try the Pomodoro method — read for 25 minutes, rest for 5 minutes.
You can adjust it to what works for you: • 25/5 (normal)
• 50/10 (for deeper reading)
• 15/3 (if you get tired easily)
If you get distracted, pause… then continue (don’t stress)

Focus is not about forcing yourself. It’s about making it easier for your mind to stay.
