<div>Before the flag, we were Kingdoms.</div><div><br></div><div>This film is my tribute to Nigeria at 66. I took us back to the smoke-filled kitchens of our ancestors, to the heavy sacks at the Produce Store in colonial Lagos, where our people laboured and endured.</div><div><br></div><div>They tried to break us. But they didn't.</div><div><br></div><div>Our suffering became our strength. It forged a people who are unbreakable, creative, and unstoppable.</div><div><br></div><div>Now look ahead — Lagos 2060. Skyscrapers shaped like our traditional patterns. Flying cars over the lagoon. A future built by us, for us. Green and white confetti falling over a city that never stopped dreaming.</div><div><br></div><div>I am a young Nigerian woman, standing on that balcony, proud of where we came from and certain of where we are going.</div><div><br></div><div>They couldn't break us, our suffering made us stronger. This is Nigeria.</div><div><br></div><div>Happy Independence Day Nigeria.</div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div>They couldn't break us, our suffering made us stronger. This is Nigeria. 🇳🇬✨</div><div><br></div><div>From Kingdoms to Colony to Future — Happy Independence Day Nigeria at 66!</div>
