Nigerian social media activist VeryDarkMan has opened up about his strained relationships with Afrobeats singer Davido and rapper Zlatan Ibile, linking the disagreements to his continued advocacy for justice for late singer Mohbad.In a recent video, VeryDarkMan claimed that his issues with Davido escalated after he allegedly came across a 2024 WhatsApp conversation involving members of the singer’s crew. According to him, the conversation contained discussions about how to get him to answer questions concerning his comments on Mohbad’s case.He said he felt disappointed by the discovery, especially after several attempts to reach Davido over the phone reportedly went unanswered, eventually affecting the relationship they previously shared.Speaking about Zlatan Ibile, VeryDarkMan also alleged that the rapper removed his associate, Kokopee, from his Instagram followers. He further claimed that a lyric in Zlatan’s song Inferno, which references the name “Vincent,” was directed at him.Following the allegations, Kokopee reportedly responded by publicly challenging Zlatan to a musical contest.VeryDarkMan has remained vocal about the circumstances surrounding Mohbad’s death in September 2023, repeatedly calling for accountability and questioning the responses of some personalities in the Nigerian entertainment industry.
