The Federal Government has approved a ₦70,000 monthly transport support for public service workers at all levels for six months, starting November 2026. This came out of a conciliation meeting with the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) to ease rising living costs.<div>They also approved payment of peculiar allowance arrears (from May 2026) in three equal instalments starting in November.
